Drawbacks of Times Prime Membership

Times Prime membership includes many premium subscriptions. But these subscriptions will vary from time to time. Because Times Prime membership should be partnered with these subscriptions. Some platforms may be some time available and sometimes not available. For example, Times Prime provided a 1-year subscription to Zee5 last year. But at this time of writing this article, a Zee5 subscription is not available in Times Prime. You can check currently available subscriptions and offers by visiting this webpage. All subscriptions listed in Times Prime have some time limitations. For example, we can get 6 months of Disney + Hotstar Super subscription. But after that, we have to top-up that subscription. But we can get some offers while top-up exhausted subscription.

My Experience

The first time, I got this Times Prime membership free of cost. I have opened a salary account at HDFC Bank. So HDFC Bank provided a coupon code to get a Times Prime membership for free. I used that coupon code to get a membership for free. I used Hotstar, SonyLiv, Audible, Storytel, Gaana Plus, Lenskart Gold, Swiggy, and YouTube Premium at that time. I liked most premium subscriptions. So I decided to renew my Times Prime membership after that. Yeah. I was renewed. Because I will use Hotstar, SonyLiv, and YouTube Premium most of the time. Sometimes, I will use other premium subscriptions from other platforms. The main thing is the redemption of premium membership is very easy in Times Prime. For example, If I have to redeem 6 months of a Hotstar Super subscription, I will open Disney + Hotstar page in Times Prime, then I will click activate button to get a coupon code. Then I will use that coupon code on the Hotstar subscription payment page. Yeah. That's it. We will get a Hotstar Super subscription. I saved more money with this Times Prime membership. It is worth it for me.

Would I recommend it to you?

If you are a guy who watches OTT platforms like Hotstar, SonyLiv, etc regularly, it will be money saving membership. But If you will use one premium subscription, then it is not the best one for you. It will be more useful for a guy who will use at least 2 subscriptions from 2 platforms. Because you can get a Times Prime membership for Rs 549 sometimes depending upon the offer time with a referral code. You can check whether you can save money or not.
